This research focus includes the development of the downstream processing of biomolecules (such as recombinant protein and antibody purification) as well as separation of isomers and enantiomers in the fine chemicals and pharmaceutical industries. The goal is to model the material separation in conventional and monolithic media, taking into account the influence of mass transport processes and the experimental comparison of monoliths and particles.
