1974Move into the new building in Leibnizstraße 15.
1976

Prof. Dr. E. Blaß receives a calling to the TU-Munich.

1977

Prof. Dr. A. Vogelpohl from Karlsruhe takes over management of the institute.
Research activities 1977-2006. The initial focus was the modeling of destillation within packed columns using the Stefan-Maxwell equation to describe the mass transfer and verification of the theoretical results in a packed column. Furthermore experimental studies on fluid dynamics in pulsed liquid-liquid extraction columns were carried out and design methods for these columns developed. As a new research interest the development of high-performance-reactors for industrial waste water treatment and the modeling thereof emerged.

2006Prof. Dr. Strube is appointed the new director of the institute.
